JUICER PLAN - MEETING MR. RANGE MURATA

Because of Wacom's inviting, I had a chance to meet a very famous Japanese artist, Range Murata. Murata-san is quite a creative and friendly person. I took a photo with him during the welcome dinner (but Murata-san is shy, so I do not show this picture). Also, I asked him to sign on my pen tablet after his demo; here is the photo of the Wacom Intuos3 pen tablet with a cute Murata-san's signature on it; what a great collection!!!!

NYPD ESU ON WALL STREET

My wife took this photo few days ago. It shows two NYPD ESU (Emergecy Service Unit) members patrolling on Wall Street. They were wearing MICH and bullet-proof vests. Both of the ESU members carried Colt M4A1 rifles with red-dot sights; one even with Surefire combat light.

After 911, the ESUpatrolling in Wall St. became a part of routine job.

Maybe they will carry HK416 or HK G36 in the near future.

McLaren MP4-21 F1 SHOW CAR IN TAIPEI

Johnnie Walker has been the sponsor of McLaren F1 team for one year, so they brought the MP4-21 to Taiwan for a PR event. http://www.johnniewalker.com.tw/event/2006f1/main.htm Though this MP4-21 is only a "show car" or just a model car, shining body still attracts people's attention.

Sometimes I wonder it was a good idea to have Jonnie Walker as a sponsor? F1 racing car should keep running, but the slogan of Johnnie Walker is "keep walking". That made McLaren's driver keep walking instead of driving. I couldn't forget how far Kimi kept walking in Monaco GP.

NEEDS VS. WANTS

(photos from NetCarShow.com)

Recently I am planning to get a new car to replace my current 5-year old Premecy with almost 100,000Km on it. During the car hunting , there is a conflict "needs vs. wants", do I need just a car for transportation, or I want an import car for transportation and for FUN?

There is almost a one million NT dollar difference between the price of domestic cars and import cars. The quality of import car is so impressive and attractive, but the price is not so friendly.

Though I was not a good student, I still remember what teacher said in the first class of Economics, " the Economics is caused by unlimited wants vs. limited resources." It is really true!

NEW TOY BOUGHT IN VIENNA

During the 10 day trip in Europe, I did not buy anything but this F1 racing car model. I found a toy shop in Vienna and asked them if they had the Alonso's F1 car. It was so lucky they just got it and still in box. So I bought this limited edition F1 racing model which sitll not available in Taiwan; this car is in the painting for France GP 2005 which is desinged by a Taiwanese art designer.

BOHEMIA TRIP - JUNE 10

I would like to call it "drinking day". We visited the best beer company "Pilsner Urquell" to learn how they make the beer and of course to taste the unfiltered beer. After leaving Plzen, we also visted two towns famous of spring, Karlovy Vary and Mar. Lazne. Yes, we also drank some hot and cold spring for health!

BOHEMIA TRIP - JUNE 9

After one night in Austria, we passed the border and entered Czech Republic. We visited a wonderful city, Krumlov. This city made me feel being in ancient time. We also visited Budejuvice, a Germany style city.

We had a dinner at Budweiser Beer Factory and I learned Budweiser was originated from Czech, not United States.

This night we stayed at Stekl Hotel, which is renovated from an old castle. In the midnight, the radio turned on automatically, but that radio did not have timer function!!!!!

BOHEMIA TRIP - JUNE 8

We visited Hallstatt, St. Wolfgang, Salzburg, and Mirabell Garden. Austria is such a beautiful county, makes you feel you are in the post cards. Let the pictures tell the story!

MY NEW TOY

AKS-74UN, the favorite sub machine gun of Osama Bin Laden! Also the most deadly weapon of Russian special force. Now I have one! Of course it is not a real one! The one I have is made by VFC , a famous BB gun manufctur in Taiwan. This gun comes with steel body and wood handguard; looks and weighs like a real one. Will I take it for survival games? mm..., I am still thinking; this toy is too pretty to have it for battle!
